I am 21 weeks pregnant and was told yesterday that my placenta is low; I'm rescheduled for another ultrasound at 33 weeks. I have no bleeding-is there anything else I should be looking out for?

The first important point is not to panic. The placenta quite often appears low and close to your cervix on a scan at around 20 weeks. It usually moves upwards as your pregnancy progresses, and a scan after 32 weeks will hopefully confirm this. If you develop any fresh red vaginal bleeding, you must however get checked out at the hospital straight away.
